So this is for János Arany’s 195th birtday. He was a great Hungarian poet. The pic here is a scene from his Toldi, where the strong medieval hero shows the lordling the way with that HUGE and HEAVY stick. Oh, and he throws millstones at people when he’s angry. And stops a raging bull with his bare hands. And he has ALL THE MANPAIN because his evil brother hates him and mistreats him. And he wants to be a knight.
Arany also wrote the best and mistiest ballads ever (they SO gothic and dark and creepy) and translated Hamlet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Epicly.
